1Getting to know S3Box
S3Box is S3-compatible object storage. Use it from the S3Box Console web app or any S3 tool such as AWS CLI, S3 Browser, WinSCP, Veeam or Nakivo. Data is stored in our data center in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.
- Bucket — the top-level container; its name is used by your tools
- Object — each file stored in a bucket, with its metadata
- S3 Credentials — Access Key ID (like a username) and Secret Access Key (like a password)
- Sub User — a team member with their own password and keys
- Versioning / Object Lock — keep old versions for recovery, and protect files from change or deletion for a set period
2Sign up and verify your email
- Open s3-console.avesta.co.th and click ลงทะเบียน (Register)
- Enter your email, choose a password and accept the terms of service
- Wait for the verification box to show Success!, then click สร้างบัญชีผู้ใช้ (Create account)
- Open the email from S3Box and click the verification link
Tip: No email? Check your spam folder or click ส่งอีเมลยืนยันอีกครั้ง (Resend).
3Log in, log out and reset your password
- Log in: enter email and password, wait for Success!, then click เข้าสู่ระบบ (with MFA on, enter the 6-digit code)
- Log out: account icon (top right) › Log out › confirm
- Forgot password: click ลืมรหัสผ่านใช่ไหม?, enter your email, then set a new password from the link we send
4Choose a plan and start the 30-day free trial
- On first login, choose the free trial or an NVMe / SSD / HDD plan (toggle monthly/yearly)
- Click เริ่มทดลองใช้ฟรี (Start free trial) for 1 TB for 30 days, no payment
- Enter the billing name and address (used for future invoices) and confirm
- Click ไปยัง Dashboard to start
Tip: Paid plans let you pick 1–20 TB of capacity.
5Dashboard and menus
- The Dashboard shows used space, quota, object and bucket counts, usage charts and trial days left
- Left menu: Buckets, Sub Users, Usage & Reports, Notifications, Settings, Billing
- Top right: notifications, light/dark mode, account menu
6Create S3 Credentials (Access Key / Secret Key)
- On the Dashboard or Buckets page, click สร้าง S3 Credentials
- Copy the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key and store them safely
- Click เก็บข้อมูลแล้ว (Saved)
Caution: The Secret Access Key is shown only once. If you lose it, issue a new one with Rotate Secret Key.
7Create, configure and delete buckets
- Buckets › สร้าง Bucket: 3–63 characters, lowercase a–z, 0–9 and hyphens (not at the start or end)
- Turn on Bucket Versioning to recover deleted files and old versions, then create
- Settings: ⋯ › Settings — Versioning, Object Lock, Public Access (Private › Make Private), CORS, Lifecycle Policy, Bucket Policy
- Delete: empty the bucket first, then ⋯ › Delete › Delete Bucket
Caution: Object Lock prevents deletion until retention ends, and deleting a bucket cannot be undone.
8Upload and manage files
- Click a bucket name to open it
- New Folder creates a folder; Upload Files → drag files or Browse Files (10 files per upload, up to 5 GB each) → Start Upload
- File ⋯ menu: Details (info and S3 URI), Version History, Retention, Download, Delete
Tip: For large or many files, AWS CLI s3 sync is faster and only sends changed files.
9Version History and restoring deleted files
- With Versioning on, uploading the same file name keeps the old version
- ⋯ › Version History: restore a version, restore as a new file, download, or delete a version permanently
- Deleted files appear in the Deleted Objects tab — click restore and confirm to bring them back
Caution: Without Versioning, deleted files are gone permanently.
10Sub Users: add your team
- Sub Users › สร้าง Sub User: enter email and password
- Choose Console Access (web login) and/or Programmatic Access (API keys), then create
- Issue keys: ⋯ › Access Keys › Create Access Key
- Change access (Settings), suspend (Disable) or remove (Delete) from the same menu
Tip: When someone leaves, disable or delete their Sub User — no need to change the owner keys.
11Profile, security and MFA
- Settings › profile & security tab: edit name, phone and display name, then save
- Click เปิด MFA, scan the QR code with Google Authenticator or any TOTP app, enter the 6-digit code and enable
- Change password: enter your current password and the new one twice
Caution: With MFA on, every login needs the app code. Keep a backup of the secret key.
12Connect with AWS CLI, S3 Browser, Veeam and other S3 tools
- Settings › S3 connection tab: endpoint
https://s3.th-ubn-1.avesta.co.th, regiondefault, AWS Signature v4, path-style - The guide tab has ready-to-copy settings for AWS CLI, S3 Browser/WinSCP, Veeam and Nakivo
- Leaked or lost key: click Rotate Secret Key — the old key stops working at once, so update every tool
13Usage & Reports
- Usage & Reports shows storage usage, outbound bandwidth and per-bucket usage
- Pick a period (default: last 6 months) and click Export CSV
Tip: New accounts see statistics after the next daily summary.
14Upgrade your plan and pay by QR
- Billing › อัปเกรดแพ็กเกจ: choose 1–20 TB and monthly/yearly, then calculate the price
- Review the price with 7% VAT and confirm — an invoice is issued
- Click ชำระเงิน (Pay) and scan the QR code with your banking app; payment is detected automatically
Tip: QR codes expire. If it times out, open the invoice and pay again.
15Notifications
- The bell icon shows new notifications such as invoices and payment results
- Notifications lists everything, with all/unread tabs and a mark-all-as-read button
